Adam Sjöberg is a passionate, hands-on filmmaker, whose background as a commercial photographer and journalist has taken him to over 50 countries and instilled his directorial vision with purpose, nuance, and artistic integrity.
Adam’s eye for stories that are relevant as well as creatively fresh has lead him to collaborations with icons such as rap superstar Nasir "Nas" Jones, NFL great Troy Polamalu, Bono, and Kanye West, while gaining trust and access to some of the most remote and underrepresented communities on the globe.
His second feature documentary film, I AM SUN MU, just finished an incredible run on the international festival circuit. I AM SUN MU is about a North Korean defector who paints subversive images tipped with hope about the future of the Korean peninsula. Prior to directing I AM SUN MU, Adam made his feature directorial debut with SHAKE THE DUST, an epic, globe-trotting breakdance and hip-hop documentary which was executive produced by rap legend Nasir “Nas” Jones.
In 2013 GOOD Magazine named Adam one of their “GOOD 100” for storytelling. He has been featured in Rolling Stone, Fast Company, LA Times, Washington Post, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Wired, PBS, and NPR’s “Marketplace.”
Adam’s forward-thinking taste and passion for untold stories bring dynamic ideas to the forefront of culture and attract groundbreaking collaborations with leading influencers.
